SpeechPro, a global leader in Voice Biometrics, recently provided West Virginia University biometrics program more than $25,000 of software and training services to enhance its program, which will be included in the curriculum focused on speech signal representation. In addition, SpeechPro staffing will be assisting with both instruction and use of the software in and out of the classroom and lab. SpeechPro will be providing SoundCleanerII, SISII and Easy Voice Biometrics audio forensic tools to the WVU research lab, which is hub for biometric research.

SpeechPro Participates in NIST Speaker Recognition i-Vector Machine Learning Challenge

SpeechPro, a leading global biometric software provider, recently participated in the 2014 Speaker Recognition i-vector Machine Learning Challenge, held by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The largest independent tester of biometric technology in the world, NIST released the results of the challenge in April, which tested the performance of algorithms typically utilized for voice biometrics. The NIST challenge focused on the development of new methods in using i-vectors for speaker detection in the context of conversational telephone speech.

 ImageWare to provide drivers licenses in Mexico utilizing SpeechPro

ImageWare Systems announced it signed a deal valued at more than $1 million with Funciones Ocupacionales Insha, to provide software that will facilitate a multi-modal biometric driver license system for the state of Baja California, Mexico.
The project, which will begin in the third quarter of 2014, will help create more than one million licenses for Baja California over the next three years.
For this contract, ImageWare will receive one time license fees for the software itself, along with ongoing payments for providing continuous professional services and maintenance.
