STC Group signed a partnership agreement with Falcon, a security solutions provider based in Egypt.

The two companies sealed their partnership at the recent Defense, Security and Public Safety Technologies Fair and Forum (DSS) in Egypt. The companies are aiming to target their solutions, which will incorporate STC’s biometric technology, to venues of mass gatherings, such as convention centers, stadiums, hotels, airports, and so on.

Participants were trained to identify individuals based on recorded audio and to extract clearer samples from noisy recordings, and further training sessions are planned.

STC Group – represented by SpeechPro in North America – has launched a new cloud-based authentication solution that combines facial and voice recognition.

Called OnePass, it offers a secure authentication mechanism that is simple and straightforward for the users: One needs only to look at her device’s camera and to recite a generated numeric code for identity verification. It isn’t the code that’s important, but rather the unique biometrics pertaining to the user’s face and voice.
