Falcon and Speech Technology Center participated in the 2nd Defense, Security and Public Safety Technologies Fair and Forum in Egypt

DSS 2016 Fair was held on November 27-30 in Cairo, Egypt and became a meeting point for manufacturing and procurement professionals from defense, internal security and public safety fields. The event was a part of the 20th round of Cairo ICT – a can’t-afford-to-miss conference and expo under the High Patronage of H.E. Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. This year Cairo ICT attracted more than 70,000 visitors from the MEA region. Speech Technology Center, along with the Consortium of Russian developers of software and technology for transport security also found DSS promising and actively participated in the forum.

Speech Technology Center was able to display both its technological innovations and international expertise as a part of the exposition of its new partner from Egypt – Falcon Group, a security service provider with extensive experience in implementing projects for places of mass gatherings. Falcon delivers products for various purposes: private security, premises protection, cash in transit, technical security, general and facility management, concierge, touristic and governmental service. The official partnership agreement between Speech Technology Center Group and Falcon Group was signed soon after the fair, in the presence of the Ambassador of Egypt in France.

President of the Arab Republic of Egypt H.E. Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi got acquainted with technologies exhibited by Speech Technology Center and Falcon, and discussed future prospects for collaboration with representatives of the companies.

Speech Technology Center Group presented its latest voice and bimodal biometric systems, forensic audio workstations, professional recorders, noise suppression solutions and applications for processing and analysis of audio and video information. Special attention was paid to Speech Technology Center’s technologies and solutions utilizing face biometrics, for example SmartTracker.FRS, which is employed by airports for access control, border control and online monitoring.

As the security spending and demand for high-quality equipment in the MEA is sky rocketing, Speech Technology Center Group is paying particular attention to this region and already started developing products with Egyptian Arabic dialect support. In September 2016, the company was able to participate in Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Expo in Pretoria, South Africa, where its solutions were presented among the products of Boeing, Airbus, Kelvin Huges and Inmarsat.
